Everest 2013: Leaving Kathmandu – Next Stop Tibet

We are finally leaving for Tibet!  We will head for Kodari (Nepal) today and stay over night. We are HOPING the border to Tibet will be open on Wednesday morning. We have turned the delay (initial thought of as a bad thing) into a good thing. We all made good use of the time by making sure we had what we needed and getting to know our team members as well as meeting some climbers from other expeditions. It was especially “lucky” that we were delayed for one of our team members because his luggage just arrived yesterday!  One more day here and I think I would be bored. NOW I am getting excited!!!!
